A one-week stay on Hydra, a magical island in the Saronic Gulf. It is known for no cars, lots of cats and, of course, Leonard Cohen. But it is so much more. Two hours by ferry from Athens’ port of Piraeus, you disembark onto 19th century cobblestone streets. You are greeted by a warm Kali Mera! A donkey or a water taxi whisk you away to your home away from home.
Hydra abides by your wishes. You can go on long hikes, or bask in the sun all day. You can dine at home, or at a small hideaway taverna, or splurge at one of the port’s premier restaurants. You can shop at lovely boutiques, or feed cats down hidden paths.
The home has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a family room that can sleep 3 on convertible furniture, and a living room that can sleep an additional 2 guests on a convertible couch.
Available October 15-31. Other dates available with discussion with owner.
